Gingival "Gum" GRAFTS

Gingival "gum" grafts are a type of periodontal surgery used to restore gum tissue that has been lost due to injury or receding gums. During the procedure, the dentist will take a piece of healthy tissue from another area of your mouth or from donor tissue and use it to replace gum tissue that has been lost.

The goal of the surgery is to improve the appearance of your gums, reduce discomfort caused by exposed tooth roots, and protect teeth from further damage due to decay or infection. While this procedure can be beneficial for many patients, it is important to discuss all risks and benefits with your dentist before undergoing this treatment.
